Rick and Laura both grew up in the Finger Lakes. They moved back here in 1981 and began farming on their own in 1983 on rented land. In 1986 they purchased the main farm where the offices, warehouse, shop, and cooling barn are located.
They have tried many different vegetables over the years and gradually changed from mostly processing vegetable production to mostly fresh market vegetable production. They began transitioning some of our land to organic production in 2004.
Today they have 600 acres of certified organic land which produces both organic vegetables and grain. They mostly provide the Good Food Collective with Asparagus, Cauliflower and Romanesco broccoli.
