Old Ridge Farm
Mason Farms was established in 1810 by Joseph Mason and his son, John. Today the farm is owned and operated by Doug Mason (7th generation) – over 200 years of family farming in Wayne County. In the past 5 years, Mason Farms has transitioned several hundred acres to certified organic farmland. This organic farm is Old Ridge Farms.
Doug can grow a wide variety of crops as he has access to a wide variety of soils. From dark muck soil to sandy loam, he can plant crops in certain locations to meet their energy and drainage demands. His primary vegetable crops are bell peppers, hot peppers, sweet corn, summer squash, butternut squash, eggplant, and leafy greens.
Old Ridge Farms is Certified Organic under NOFA-NY.
