The Anatomy of the GFC - New Share Size and Names for 2015

As an ever evolving and improving company, 2015 brings some exciting changes toThe Good Food Collective Summer & Fall Seasons that we wanted to communicate to you. We are always working closely with members and farmers to identify and create the best GFC shares: the correct sizes, the right diversity of product, complementary offerings, etc. This year brings yet another great step forward in that way. INTRODUCING A NEW SIZE! - EXPRESS BOX SMALL SHARE
The Express Small Share is designed to feed 1 person. Small Share members will receive 4 to 5 different varieties of fresh vegetables and some fruit. The amount of each variety is in smaller quantity than the Standard Share, including amounts such as 1 lb. of carrots, 3 ears of corn, 5 apples, a small head of broccoli, 1 small winter squash, 1 lb. of potatoes, etc.) The small share is only available as an express box option.

NEW NAME! - STANDARD SHARE
The Standard Share is designed to feed 2-4 people. This was previously called our Single Share and is our most basic share. Fruit varieties are typically 1 to 2 of the 6 to 10 items in the share. The amount of each variety received is typical to standard purchases at farmers’ markets or grocery stores (4 summer squash, 3 peppers, a big head of lettuce, 6 ears of corn, 2 large cucumbers, 6 peaches, etc.)
 
NEW NAME! - LARGE SHARE
The Large Share is designed to feed 5-8 people. This was previously called our Double Share. It provides 6 to 10 different varieties of fresh vegetables and fruit each week of the summer season from our network of local, sustainable farms but is double the quantity of the Standard Share (8 summer squash, 2 big heads of lettuce, 6 peppers, 12 ears of corn, etc.) Fruit varieties are typically 1 to 2 of the 6 to 10 items in the share.
