This is documentary that investigates incidents of hunger experienced by millions of Americans, and proposed solutions to the problem. The film includes many notable celebrities, Jeff Bridges Tom Colicchio, Ken Cook, Raj Patel and music is by T-Bone Burnett and the Civil Wars.

Low to the Ground Productions has included A Place at the Table in their monthly documentary film series called One Take: Stories Through the Lens. The Good Food Collective is participating with Foodlink and WXXI in showing this documentary which confronts the realities of hunger and poverty in the United States by examining our nation’s policies, systems, and the stories of people living with food insecurity. After the documentary you are invited to stay for a panel discussion about our local food insecurity and food deserts in our region. The panel will be lead by Tom Ferraro, Executive Director and Founder of Foodlink, Chris Hartman, owner of Good Food Collective and Mitch Gruber, PhD student at the University of Rochester, studying the history of local food systems. Tickets can be purchased from The Little Theatre.
