Products |
Eggs from free-ranged hens. A wide variety of certified organic vegetables starting the season with asparagus, peas, lettuces, spinach and radishes followed in the summer with greens, summer squash, root crops, beans, garlic, watermelon, muskmelon, herbs, tomatoes, peppers and much more. In the fall winter squash and potatoes are added. |

Farmland |
62 acres include a wood lot and 40 tillable acres certified for organic production of vegetable, fruit and field crops. |

Farm History |
We purchased the farm in 1999 after it had been abandon for several years. In the 2000 season we certified the farm organic through NOFA-NY and have maintained it as such. |
| Philosophy | To grow all produce in accord with the nation organic standards and totally natural growing methods. No chemicals, pesticides or herbicides of any type are used. |

Soil |
Sandy loam is shallow tilled prior to planting and again after harvest. Cover crops are used to maintain soil tilth and fertility. |

Weed Control |
Cover crops used for weed suppression, mechanical shallow tillage, hay based mulch, flame and hand weeding. |

Pest Management |
Cover crops, crop rotations, kaolin soil and hand picking. |

Water Use |
Rain water supplemented with tested well water delivered by gravity fed garden hose to the vegetable rows. |

Workers |
Farm family with occasional help from neighbors or hired help. |
