Thanks for the above, If you're looking for something different at your next BBQ or grill-up, then a homemade BBQ sauce recipe is something you'll want to try.
I look forward to your next post

Hey There Bill Klingensmith,<br

I remember loving pears as a kid, and as an adult I've been unenthusiastic about them. I assumed it was just changing tastebuds. Turns out that I was eating a different type of pear.
At pick-up they called them "Christmas Pears" but an online search for those only turns up pear recipes to serve at Christmas dinner and links references partridges in trees.
Thanks!

Can anyone tell me anything more about this week’s pears? The ones that weren’t Seckels. Sliced, dipped in garlic breadcrumbs, sautéed in olive oil, then baked for an hour with my homemade tomato sauce and dollops of ricotta cheese. Yummy!

This week’s eggplants were the best I ever cooked. But when I finally made a batch baked right, they were amazing! Glad you are a kale convert. And the beautiful chard grown around here graces many a happy table. Hooray for green things!

Julie, you can see from the previous comments that I was the only one on the face of the planet, apparently, that had trouble getting the kale chips right the first couple times.
